COVID-19 & Pemberton Veterinary Hospital Policies

Cases of COVID-19 are on the rise in our province and across the country.  We strive to provide compassionate care for our patients and clients, and this includes your safety when your pet is receiving veterinary care. We have implemented additional safety measures at the hospital and while on farm calls to help keep everyone safe.

If you have been in physical contact with anyone testing positive for the COVID-19 virus, if you are exhibiting any respiratory illness or flu-like symptoms yourself, or if you have travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days, please call ahead to cancel or reschedule your appointment, or have another healthy person bring your pet in on your behalf. Our front door is locked and clients will not be allowed to enter the clinic unless authorized. Please call us from your vehicle (or knock on our door) so that we know you have arrived for your appointment. A staff member will meet you outside to collect your pet for his/her appointment. We ask that you respect the personal space of other clients and our staff during this time; please maintain physical distancing by staying 2m apart. Any client pre-approved to enter the hospital must confirm they are symptom free and not under isolation orders prior to entering the building.  All persons entering the hospital must be wearing masks, consent to temperature screening (using a contactless thermometer) and use hand sanitizer upon entry.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call or email. We thank you for your patience and assistance as we continue to make your pet’s wellness and our own safety a priority during this time.
