Please DO NOT enter the clinic if you are experiencing any signs of respiratory illness (ie. coughing, fever, shortness of breath) or have interacted with anyone testing positive of the COVID-19 illness within the past 14 days. We are advising clients to call or email with any questions or concerns in order to minimize wait times and social interaction within the reception area.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented several changes that affect how we typically run our veterinary practice. We ask that those of you who have scheduled appointments, please use due diligence regarding the reason for your pet’s visit. Please consider cancelling or postponing if your pet’s appointment is not of an urgent nature (the cancellation fee will not apply). If you have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days, have been in physical contact with anyone testing positive for the COVID-19 virus, or if you have respiratory (cough) or flu-like symptoms yourself, please call ahead to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If the appointment for your pet is of an urgent nature, you may arrange to have have another healthy person bring your pet in on your behalf.
As of March 18th, we have locked our front door, and will only be allowing clients entry into the reception area one at a time. Only one owner/handler will be permitted to attend appointments. Please respect social distancing practices of our staff, and other clients as they may be waiting outside. We are advising clients wait in their vehicles and call us to let us know of your arrival for your appointment. Please factor in additional wait times as we are doing our best to keep up with increased phone calls, supply deliveries, sanitization practices, in addition to our already busy schedule of pet examinations and surgical procedures.
To keep wait times at a minimum, and to encourage social distancing, please call ahead for prescription refills and food orders. Our suppliers for pet food and medications are ensuring us that supplies are well-stocked at this time, so bulk-ordering is not necessary.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or email. We thank you for your patience and assistance as we continue to make your pet’s wellness and our own safety a priority during this time. As the situation is changing hourly, we will do our best to keep you updated to any further changes in how we are operating.
